Michael Kelly lives in Pickering, Ontario. His award-winning fiction, prose, and poetry have graced the pages of more than fifty publications, having been published in magazines such as Carleton Arts Review, Crossroads, Deadbolt, Fantasque, Mindmares, Nasty Piece of Work, Space & Time, as well as anthologies Be Afraid!, Dark Whisperers, More Monsters from Memphis, Northern Horror, and Whispering Willows

Michael is a member of the Horror Writer's Association. Three of his stories have garnered Honourable Mention in The Year's Best Fantasy & Horror, while two have been recommended for the Bram Stoker Award, Horror's highest honor.  In 2000 he was a co-winner, (with Carol Weekes), of The Blood N' Guts 2000 Horror Story Competition, published by Bad Moon Books

In addition to writing, Michael works full time at Canada's largest daily circulation newspaper, The Toronto Star, as a Photo Editor.  He has helped judge The Toronto Star Short Story Contest, the largest of its kind in Canada, with an annual first place prize of $10,000.
